Thanksgiving dinner kicked off with old-fashioneds!
Dinner featured traditional favorites like turkey, green-bean casserole (from scratch and based on the Cook's Illustrated recipe and downloaded from A Veggie Venture), pumpkin pie (brought by guests), cranberry sauce and some uncommon dishes like mustard-lemon salmon, squash lasagna (based on Giada De Laurentiis's recipe), oven roasted potatoes, carrot-cauliflower yogurt salad, a green salad with dried cranberries/gorgonzola/walnuts, peach pie (using a butter cake mix and a jar of Bonne Maman's peach preserve), and lots of Haagen Dazs (vanilla bean, Baileys, and sticky toffee pudding).
The rest of the drink menu looked like this:

mil piedras : dry, pepper, jammy
Louis M. Martini (advertised as cherry, currant, and spice)
Also, Beringer Old Vine Zinfandel (tasted strongly of alcohol)

pineapple nose
