The Red Sox won against the Athletics (13-5) on Tuesday, July 25. Hefe-weisse is one of my favorite beers and there is a Pyramid bar at the McAfee stadium. Pictured above is a pint of the Pyramid hefeweizen. I considered the Widmer Brothers hefeweizen (brewed in Portland, OR) but Pyramid is local, brewed in Berkeley and Walnut Creek, CA, and the company has a cool logo.

That was a great game! It looked like the A's were going to make a come back, but then the Red Sox pulled ahead for good with six runs in the eigth inning. Of course, all baseball games are better with brew... but here is the question, as a *Boston* Red Sox fan, are you comfortable supporting a non-Boston brew? Shouldn't you be drinking Sam Adams or something?

ReplyDeleteI did not see Sam Adams at McAfee but it was my first time at the ballpark and I did not look very hard. Also, I am committed to local eats (sorry Beantown producers).
