Rogue Chocolate Stout

Guest blogger, Robeer, is back!

If someone were to pour you a glass of this, you'd look at its dark color, thick brown head, smell chocolate off the top of it and say "hey, it's a chocolate stout!"

If you were to then sip it, you'd say "yep, it IS a chocolate stout!"

This beer is exactly what it says it is, a chocolate stout. If you like chocolate stouts, you'll be pleased. If you are not sure if you like chocolate stouts (that would be me prior to drinking this) then imagine a stout (Guinness, for example), add a chocolate-coffee taste (heavier on the chocolate than the coffee) and add a bit of bitterness at the end -- in other words, this is more of a dark chocolate than a milk chocolate -- and you've pretty much got the Rogue Chocolate Stout.

I'd drink it again.

  1. Thanks for the shout out... being the face on the bottle of Rogue Chocolate Stout I blog about this beer with recipes, pairing notes (got blue cheese?), events, press and other musings... this beer is based on Rogue's Shakespeare Oatmeal Stout - very different from the Dry Irish style (guiness) and we add real Bittersweet Chocolate... unfiltered, unfined, not pasteurized = its good for you! join me for the journey ~ www.RogueChocolateStout.com
