Liste des vins presentes en degustation

On August 26, 2001, we were in Beaune France, at 2, rue Nicolas Rolin to be exact. We tasted 18 wines at Marche Aux Vins - 4 whites and 14 reds. Taste #13 was a Pommard which we rated "very dry." Our tasting sheet also shows that we were tipsy by this tasting.

1. Bourgogne Chardonnay (62 French Francs)
Good! We like dry whites - floral - champagne color

2. Pouilly-Fuisse (125 FF)
Non!!

3. Savigny-les-Beaune (98)
Almost ripe Bartlett pear

4. Mersault
Eat with oysters or light fish ex: cod

Vins Rouges
5. Bourgogne Pinot Noir (49)
Dry, dark color - good with meat

6. Cote de Beaune Village (79)
Over pinot noir - meat

7. Monthelie (85)
(illegible notes)

8. Saint-Aubin (79)
Tastes like rabe; funny smell like old wine

9. Givry (68)
Reminds of a stinky cheese (French muenster)

10. Saint-Roman (81)
Cheese

11. Savigny-les-Beaune
Dry Beaujolais

12. Santenay (89)
Cork smells like rum cake; good with fruit; pretty good flavor

13. Pommard
Really dry

14. Nuits-Saint-Georges
Quintessential red

15. Gevrey-Chambertin
Smells likes almonds - yum; like it a lot

16. Vosne-Romanee
Smells like first Beaujolais ever had; incredibly dry

17. Volany 1er Cru
Beaujolais

18. Beaune 1er Cru
Raisins/prunes! Yum!
